EMERGENCY UPDATE 3/20/22: Well, I seem to not have done a good enough job barring chaos at the PGAs. With the last precursors officially done (WGAs were also tonight), we suddenly have a lot of changes as we enter the last week (and last two days of voting!) before the Big Gayme.

UPDATE 3/18/22: Nearly every precursor has come out, and I’ve seen all of the Big 8 Awards movies, so these are my final predictions! (Barring any chaos at the PGAs, of course.)

The Oscar Nominations are finally here! This past Tuesday, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences released their nominations for the 2021 Oscars ceremony, which will be held on March 28th. There were plenty of surprises, snubs, and other s-words, but the biggest question on everyone’s mind is “Who’s gonna win?”, followed by “I’ve never heard of half these movies, where can I watch them?”.

Below, you’ll find my breakdown of each of the movies nominated for the Main Awards (Picture, Director, Acting, Screenplay, International, and Animated). I’ve laid out where they can be seen, how likely it is that they’ll win the awards they’re nominated for, and my personal take on the movie. I’ve even ordered the movies by how “important” they will be (i.e. how likely to win how many awards, based on the importance of the award). Do with this information what you will, just know that my predictions…
